Ciao Humans!

It's been forever since I've blogged last. But thanks for visiting the blog again and seeing what's new here. You can expect more post and now we are on YouTube! Check us out on YouTube by clicking here! With life happening I got pulled away from being able to be as creative as I would have wanted and wasn't able to stay consistent with it. But that's changing now. The dedication and passion is back. I'm excited for what is in store for Silken Havoc and you should be to! Now let's get in this project. You ready?

If your're tired of wearing just any plain old hat, learn how to upgrade your hat for about $10 or less. All the materials I used came from Micheal's art store and didn't cost too much. You'll be able to do this project in very little time at all and your hat game will go form 0 to 100 real quick

Materials:

Wide Brim Hat

Bead Stringing Wire (.015 in)

Bassing Needle

Flat-Nose Jewelry Pliers

Scissors

Feathers

In today's blog, I'll show you how to customize you're own wide brim fedora hat. I've seen these customized hats ranging from $100 to $800. As much as I like to shop, spending a large amount of money on an accessory like a fedora, is not something I can do on the regular. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat. Who is not spending that kind of money on a fancy hat? Not I!!! Brands I've come across on Instagram like Nosrak (hats cost 350$) and Satyawena (hats cost 795$) have inspired this project. Check them out on Instagram. While the quality of their hats are outstanding, I'll show you how to get a look that is inspired. The hat that I'll be using as my base is a wide brim fedora from Urban (29$, currently out of stock). Below are some images of the hats that I used as inspiration and was able to create a unique custom design for my own wide brim fedora hat.

Watch my YouTube video to see how I completed this project. Watch until the end. This video was so much fun to make and their are lots of bloopers that I included in the video as well. Don't forget subscribe, like and comment and check out my YouTube page for other videos. I'm just getting started.

Thanks for watching. Get into the look book below.
